And energy savings are good for the environment but it’s also good for your wallet. <\/p>\n To carry out all this work and as part of a <\/span>eco-responsible energy consumption<\/strong>, the State of Quebec is giving a boost to home renovation. The Prime Minister, <\/span>On April 24, 2014, Mr. Philippe Couillard<\/strong> announced the new refundable tax credit for residential renovations: <\/span>the LogiR\u00e9nov<\/a> tax <\/span> credit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u00abThis new tax credit confirms our government’s strong commitment to reviving Quebec’s economy. Ottawa is therefore ready to sign participation cheques for homeowners who want to take action for the environment. <\/p>\n The Conservatives’ campaign argument at the last election was that the program was actually guaranteed to be included in the federal budget. Indeed, the positive consequences of the ecoenergy program on greenhouse gas emissions have been proven, which is why the recently appointed Minister of Natural Resources, Mr. J. Oliver, mentioned the revival of a potential budget of $400 million. He also pointed out that this program to renovate Canadian homes is one of the most popular in the country (500,000 beneficiaries in recent years), and he hopes to subsidize 250,000 more this year.
