]]>Among the sealing products polyurethane, there are two types of white: THE WHITE ULTRA WHITE CAULKING. What are their differences, their respective strengths, their limits?
An article your caulking team on the North Shore to guide you in the choice that will suit you.
The Regular White
THE WHITE REGULAR is usually suitable for all situations but it tends to change color slightly over time. The hue may even vary depending on the orientation of the façade.
Although sealants in the Polyurethane among the best products on the market, the sun, rain, wind and air pollution can affect the colour of joints in the short, medium or long term.
This disadvantage is remedied by choosing
Ultra white or permanent white
The manufacturer guarantees that this sealant will not be affected by the elements and that it will retain its original hue throughout its useful life. However, there is no guarantee that this universal shade of white will match the materials in your building.
There are so many different types of window or door frame materials, and so many siding bricks or finishing materials of facades like
- Wood,
- aluminium,
- steel,
- vinyl
- Etc
that it is usually impossible to perfectly harmonize the white of the sealant with that of various openings or sidings.
The extra cost of ultra white:
Because of the properties that make its whiteness permanent, the ultra white is more expensive. The additional cost, applied only to all white sealing joints, is 10%.
